HOLOWHAS Plus is an 8 Streaming 8-zone multi-room streaming amplifier, its power output capability is 16 x 100W, so the total is 1600W, surpass all other similar products. It is an ideal solution for distributing HiFi audio to different rooms or zones within the whole house or building with pre-wired speakers. This allows you to play different audio sources in different areas or synchronize the playback for a consistent listening experience throughout.
This amplifier has 8 different input source options to play music to 8 zones. You can use any combination of 8 input sources to play music to any combination of 8 zones. The user can select from 8 available streaming options, namely Airplay2, Spotify Connect, DLNA, Bluetooth, RCA, SPDIF, USB disk and HDMI ARC (Airplay2, Spotify Connect, DLNA can be initialized 8 times, but Bluetooth, RCA, SPDIF, USB disk and HDMI ARC can only be initialized once). All of the above functions can be controlled using the HoloHome mobile application available.

- The advantage of HOLO-WHAS Plus over HOLO-WHAS Ultra: The Plus model can provide a total of 1600W instead of 960W, which is nearly double the power output. In other words, Plus offers 100W per channel at 8 ohms, compared to 60W per channel at 8 ohms in the Ultra model. Notes: HOLOWHAS Plus has all the feature of HOLO-WHAS.
- Rich Streaming Capabilities: Provides robust streaming playback capabilities, accessing a variety of audio sources through a network connection, typically via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Supports Airplay 2, DLNA, Spotify, and both wired and wireless streaming options, with the flexibility to initialize wireless streaming multiple times.
- Intuitive UI: The app features a simple and intuitive interface, providing quick access to essential functions and controls, eliminating the need for extensive searching or learning. Users can effortlessly select the area they wish to control and have a clear interface for seamless selection and switching between different audio sources such as Airplay 2, Spotify Connect, DLNA, HDMI ARC, Optical, Line In, and USB Disk. Volume for each zone is easily adjusted with a straightforward slider.
- Self-Guided Network Setup: The HOLOWHAS Plus offers an enhanced out-of-box experience, allowing users to easily set up the network through a mobile app utilizing BLE technology. The setup is self-guided, making it simple and user-friendly.
- Rich Input & Output Options: Beyond streaming playback, the HOLOWHAS Ultra also supports local inputs, perfect for connecting local audio playback devices like TVs and distributing their audio to various rooms or areas. Connections can be made via RCA interface, HDMI ARC, and SPDIF without the need for special cables or converters. Additionally, audio can be output through Line Out and Optical to external active speakers or amplifiers.

1 May, 2025I had some issues due to faulty home wiring. Many detailed questions that weren’t adequately covered in the manual. I reached out to their technical support, and I must say that I have never received technical support as good as this. I received multiple daily emails requesting a follow-up and troubleshooting assistance. My unit is now working. The power is actually greater than I needed by probably two or three times. I actually had to turn down my equalizer settings to allow it to play without blasting my speakers off the wall. If my review changes with time, I will add a new one. However, at this point, I can confidently say that the product does what it claims to do, and the support is unquestionably the best I have received from any electronic product I have purchased in the last 20 years.

In this field, DENON’s got something similar, but they don’t support as many channels in their streaming amplifier.

Even the JUKE+ only has 6 amplifier outputs. But I’m really looking forward to the day when the Plus supports Google Cast.
